All the work completed was outstanding! Great workmanship, responsiveness was excellent and price was good. This was an all around great experience. Our bathrooms turned out really nice. Marco is extremely thoughtful and professional. He is open and honest about his schedule and when work will be done. He communicates clearly and advises effectively on different options and decisions that need to be made. He emails, sends pictures, text messages and does whatever it takes to make sure you are informed and comfortable with the work being done and the decisions that need to be made. After he finished my bathrooms and fireplace I had Marco come back to paint my front door and move our dining area chandelier. This work also went extremely well. In addition to doing great work Marco kept our unit unbelievably clean and dust free throughout the renovation - not easy given that we were having old tile removed from the bathrooms. I would highly recommend Marco and plan to use him again myself.

Marco was super professional, very detailed and communicative. I'm don't live there full time, so even though I've never met Marco in person, I feel like I did. He would provide very clear pictures with questions when needed so I knew exactly what his question was and I was able to provide an answer without being there. We have to be very particular in hiring contractors since the work we were doing was for our summer home, two hours south of our North Jersey primary residence. We cannot be onsite for every job and it is important that the person we hire be dependable and trustworthy in addition to having excellent trade skills AND communication skills. Everytime I have depended on Angie's list for recommendations, it has never failed me! For this job, my husband and I wanted to update our existing ceramic tile backsplash in the kitchen with a more modern glass tile. We interviewed several contractors that were recommended by the tile store but ultimately went to Angie's List and settled on Marco Smigliani/Cape Atlantic. We were impressed with his quick response time in returning calls and emails and unlike a lot of other contractors in the Cape May area, he showed up when he said he would. I consider myself pretty demanding and really put Marco through the wringer in our first meeting. To his credit, not only was he polite and respectful, he seemed to understand where I was coming from and allayed any fears I had about not being onsite. I loved that he was patient with my questions and walked me through everything that would be done. The work was done beautifully, neatly and I am SO pleased that we chose Marco. We are receiving SO many compliments! He went above and beyond in my opinion. Even when he told us he needed more tile (our fault), and could not complete the stripe under the bar, he made himself available to finish the work quickly when the tile came in. He even touched up some paint that had been chipped when painter's tape was removed. He kept me informed every step of the way and continued to send me pictures via cellphone. I loved that he is tech savvy and used his cellphone to communicate quickly and effectively! We highly recommend Marco's services. I am so impressed with this young man and we will definitely use him again when it is time to redo our master bath.

Contacted Marco and he was busy but gave me a website to check out for comparable pricing for the job I wanted which was helpful in knowing what to expect. Arranged for him to come out and give me a quote. I had 3 quotes and Marco's was the highest but in doing the assessment he asked lots of great questions that told me how detailed he was which was appealing for this project.He explained upfron he had several projects going at once so we set a date to start the work and then each day he could work we coordinated calendars to see when he could come back. That was probably the hardest part as I was living out of boxes but the quality work was worth it. It took about 6 days or so to complete over the course of 2 weeks time. Marco was great about working within the schedule I could work with as well. Most days he worked about 10am - 5pm and he was able to work on the weekends. As he started the project it was an apartment I was just moving into so we found a huge hole in one closet wall and another closet had missing base board. Marco was able to repair both for a fee but it was so nice to do it at the same time worth the additional cost. The end result was wonderful..the painting was flawless and looks beautiful...worth the extra time and money. I plan to hire MArco back to do some handy man jobs as I unpack and settle in. I would strongly recommend hiring Marco and his team as they do fabulous work and are great to worth with. Marco was wonderful about communicating via email so we did most of the scheduling via email which was a great timesaver as well.

I can't say enough good things about Cape Atlantic. Mr. Smiglani returned all of our calls promptly and provided timely estimates that were reasonably priced. He always arrived when promised and was on time. He went out of his way to keep us informed of the progress he was making while doing the work. He was very easy to work with and flexible in planning and payment schedule. But the best thing about him was the quality of his work. The carpentry repairs were excellent. He was very careful in making sure all of his work was done to a high standard. Both family and visitors remarked on the craftsman-like quality of his work. For example we could not tell where the old vent holes had been in our porch ceiling. He also repaired corresponding vent openings high on the external wall of the house including carving, painting and attaching matching dental/wedge trim pieces so that we could not tell where the original vent openings had been. He also did a fine job expanding, realigning and matching a paving block sidewalk leading from the driveway to our outdoor shower. He stayed long hours to finish the work and quietly and efficiently went about his business. It was a real pleasure to work with him. Ne earns our highest recommendation.

I had initially engaged Cape Atlantic to make repairs to a popcorn ceiling, as well as repaint it. Due to extenuating circumstances on my part, there were a couple of delays in performing the work. They were extremely flexible and responsive in handling these changes. Trying to match a large section of popcorn ceiling is not easy. Marco worked hard to make sure that it looked good. He was very concerned that I was satisfied with the work. He took great care to minimize the dust and to clean up thoroughly after each day. Although I had planned to repaint the house next year, I was so pleased with Marco's work, I asked him to paint the rest of the house. He did a great job. I thought that his prices were reasonable. He was very professional...always responsive and return calls timely. I would use him again and I would highly recommend him. In fact, I have given his name to several of my neighbors.

Marco came for an initial visit to provide an estimate and additional information. The job was scheduled for 3 days and almost a month away due to the recent storm activity. Marco arrived on time all 3 days. My tile supplier initially told me that the tile would be difficult to lay on the diagonal, but Marco assured me he could. The finished project is better than expected. These are the reasons I hired Marco and then rehired him for a second project: 1. Attitude - He is courteous and professional. He will hear all complaints/crazy concerns and put you at ease. 2. Tidy - Marco arrives on time. He is very quiet. He is unbelievable neat and tidy. When he left for the day, he would rearrange everything back to where it was, sweep up, and minimize the interference in our daily lives. 3. Comfort - Marco is the type of employee who you would feel comfortable giving him your key and allowing him to be there when you are not home.
